There is a recognizable release pattern among drawing tablet brands. Each tablet launch tends to reflect both the latest developments in available display panel tech, and competitive responses within the industry.

Based on these trends, here are my predictions for upcoming releases.

## Prediction of Wacom

####

#### ArtPen 2 (ACP700)

**Confidence level: \[100% guaranteed 2026]**

* This is a guaranteed prediction based on public leaks.

####

#### Movink 16 OLED 1440p 16:9 120hz for 1300 usd.

**Confidence level: \[1% Very Low 2026] \[10% Low 2027] \[50% Medium 2028+]**

* A lot of artist prefer 16 inches over smaller size.
* Wacom needs to have a better 16 inches pen display than the current Cintiq 16 (2025), but still have a very competitive price.

####

#### Discontinuation of Cintiq Pro 17 (2023) and Cintiq Pro 27 (2023)

**Confidence level: \[75% High 2027]**

* From observation, both of these products have very low sales over the year.
* The Cintiq Pro 17 is not much better than the Cintiq 16 (2025) which is 3 times cheaper.
* The Cintiq Pro 27 has a very bad and generic display panel for a 3000 usd price tag.
* Lower the price of Cintiq Pro 22.

####

#### MovinkPad Pro 16 (Windows ARM) with "Cintiq-mode" for 2000 usd.

**Confidence level: \[1% Very Low 2027] \[10% Low 2028+]**

* Most profesional artist prefer to work with Windows devices than Android.
* The return of "Cintiq mode" from their old MobileStudio Pro series.
* Wacom may or may not giving up on their high-end devices.

####

#### Cintiq "Max" 16 IPS 1600p 16:10 240hz for 1800 usd.

**Confidence level: \[10% Low 2028+]**

* Wacom don't usually release a new Cintiq Pro that can replace their old one.
* Which is why this Cintiq "Max" 16 won't have the same 4K resolution as Cintiq Pro 17 (2023), and just a better version of Cintiq 16 (2025).

####

#### Cintiq "Max" 27 IPS 5K 60hz 500nits for 2800 usd.

**Confidence level: \[50% Medium 2028+]**

* Same reasons as Cintiq "Max" 16 above.
* Wacom may release a new version with better specs but won't replace the old Cintiq Pro 27 (2023) that has 120hz.
* macOS is getting more popular, but the OS doesn't have a good UI scaling for 4K resolution, so Wacom will need to have 5K pen display.
